Why Are We Called The History House?

Historian and founder, Dr Hazel Pierce, studied medieval and early modern history at Bangor University, North Wales where she also completed her PhD.

Whilst Hazel was a student at Bangor, the School of History was located in a quaint detached house opposite the university library which the students referred to as ‘The History House’. It has since been demolished to make way for more modern buildings but the name survives as a tribute to the happy times spent there.
